For the first time in Southern California, the California Cleaners Association (CCA) presented a hands-on spotting seminar in Spanish. The response was an overwhelming success.
U.S. Western Multitech offered use of their warehouse to host the event. Forenta USA provided the spotting boards. Chris Patten of A.L.Wilson and Gina Hernandez of Ortega Cleaners and a DLI Spanish translator, were the qualified instructors who presented the course.
Over 35 attendees, mostly Spanish-speaking, were given swatches with stains. Stain removal techniques were first discussed and then the students had a chance to try the tips firsthand on the various stains.
Erin Hemet of Golden Era Productions said, “I have been in the business for years. I still learned a lot about spotting. I wish the class was longer.”
