Jan’s Professional Dry Cleaners, based in Clio, MI, started this year by receiving notification of its official national certification as an affiliate of America’s Best Cleaners (ABC).
The business was founded in 1982 by owner Jan Barlow (pictured), who is a certified Garment Care Professional.
“My personal goal from the beginning has always been to be involved in this industry as a profession,” she noted. “ABC has a refreshing approach to the details of this industry, and I am honored to be a part of this group.”
ABC Executive Director Chris White was excited to welcome their latest affiliate. “Jan Barlow and the team at Jan’s Professional Dry Cleaners deserve every bit of recognition they receive with decades of experience and contributions to the local community and the garment care industry,” he said. “Having the opportunity to spend time learning about Jan’s passion, vision, values, and expertise, her business is a natural fit as a certified affiliate of America’s Best Cleaners.”
Recently, Jan’s Professional Dry Cleaners earned a bit of recognition when it received the Best Overall Award in the Small Retail Textile Cleaning category of CINET’s Global Best Practice Awards.
Since then, the company has not slowed down. Barlow said, “Becoming a part of ABC means new friends and colleagues. I also love the opportunities to bring my manager along to meet others in the industry. This is a very invigorating, experienced group, and the enthusiasm alone is certainly worth being a part of. I’m looking forward to 2023 being Jan’s best year yet!”
